Periphery Streaming New "Clear" EP in FULL!

A glimmer of light in an overcast day here in Toronto.  While the regular formula for bands tends to have a select few writers composing most of the album, this style that Periphery has done here is quite intriguing and fascinating.  The guys have released new material out of thin air (or so it seems) with only a few weeks of major promotion for the EP.  That being said, Periphery is (what I consider) a cash cow for Sumerian Records so anything they put out tends to be a high seller.  So let's recap why they released an EP called "Clear".

"Clear is an experiment to explore all of the different writing styles in the band. It's rare when you have a band where every member is capable of writing and producing music. With each member controlling their own track, this recording enabled us to go down any path we chose in terms of style and sound. Every track also contains a melodic theme established in Clear's intro track Overture, this common thread links all of the songs together, even though they all sound wildly different." -Jake Bowen

And with good reason they had each member create a track for the EP.  Sifting through the tunes, you can definitely hear the variations and influences each member has.  After hearing the tracks, it's rather fun for myself to go back and listen to previous material from Periphery to catch those same influences and styles.  Despite the fact that Misha has been mainly responsible for the creation of previous material, you can still hear slight differences in old tracks that each member would input during the tracking sessions.

Anyways, here is the full stream of the "Clear" EP which will be released on January 28th, 2013.
